Thank you, Jason Kiely, outgoing MCV Board Chair!

Missoula member and outgoing Board Chair Jason Kiely has been an incredible leader for the last five years.

He served on the MCV Education Fund board of directors, helped found the Missoula County chapter and served on the MCV board and Political Action Committee.  For the last two years, Jason chaired MCV, a hard-working, dedicated and diverse board.  During his tenure as a member leader, MCV helped elect an organic farmer to the U.S. Senate, Jon Tester.  MCV also tipped the scales for responsible development of our cities and towns in municpal elections across the state in 2007 and 2009.  We helped elect new conservation champions to the State Legislature, the State Land Board, and the Public Service Commission.  Under Jason's leadership, MCV coordinated conservation allies at the State Legislature, and helped pass legislation that brings more than $15 million for energy efficiency improvements to our schools.

All the while, Jason is raising two kids with his wife, talented film-maker, Gita Saedi.

Jason works as Director of Operations & Marketing for Montana Renewables, LLC, a new Missoula company that plans to replace petrochemicals with renewable technologies.

He previously worked for Wildlands CPR in Missoula and in Chicago as a community organizer, coordinating a coalition which won corporate and state reforms to combat predatory mortgage lending and increased responsible investment in poor and working-class communities.

We wish him all the best!
