This Mother's Day: Urge our senators to protect kids from pollution
To celebrate Mother's Day and honor Montana moms, families are sending cards to their senators, asking them to protect our air from toxic pollution and to keep our families safe.
Polluters dump millions of tons of mercury, lead and other toxic pollution into the air each year. Pollution causes serious health problems in children, like asthma and developmental disorders. And, one in six women of childbearing age has enough mercury in her body to hamper her child's ability to walk, talk, read and write.
It's time to speak out.
Sign a card asking our Senators to continue to protect clean air here.
And if you are in Missoula this Friday, join a rally of Mothers, their children, and other concerned Montanans as they deliver these postcards to the offices of Senator Tester and Senator Baucus. We will meet at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 6th in front of the Public Library. You can read more about the event here.
