Stop the Scare: Help Us Halt Rehberg Land Grab
Is this a Halloween nightmare, or did Congressman Rehberg really just co-sponsor a bill that would take away our rights on public land? Give away wilderness? Threaten Glacier National Park?
We thought Rep. Rehberg’s ties to Big Oil were troubling. We will continue fighting to end subsidies to Big Oil in this time of economic trouble, and are concerned by our Congressman’s conspicuous ties to the industry.
But now, Rehberg supports legislation (HR 1505) that would give the Department of Homeland Security complete control of federal lands, giving Washington politicians the final say in how millions of acres of Montana's land are used and denying Montanans a say over how to best use and protect these lands.
Stop the scare – Give $50, $25 or even $5 today to support our work to protect Glacier National Park from the Rehberg Land Grab.
The legislation would give federal bureaucrats complete control over millions of acres of public land, and would allow uses that expressly conflict with their preservation. As a result, Washington insiders could build roads and deploy “tactical infrastructure” in places like the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area, Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge and Glacier National Park.
Stop the scare - please give generously today to end the Rehberg Land Grab.
Imagine your next backcountry hunting expedition, accompanied by military-style border control operations. Think of the sound of your camping trip with the kids near Logan Pass in Glacier, complete with patrolling helicopters.
We must spread the word to stop the scare. Give to our campaign to stop the Rehberg Land Grab.
Check out this video from concerned hunters and anglers. They won’t be silenced, and neither will the conservation community. Every last conservationist in Montana will band together and stop this nonsense.
Please help. Give today as generously as you can. We need to raise $3,000 in the next two weeks to fund our campaign to stop the Rehberg Land Grab. Every dollar counts. Please take a moment and give to protect your public lands today.
