Montana native Del Dinstel is a retired coal miner from Colstrip that is challenging incumbent first term Rep. Duane Ankney (R) for this eastern Montana House seat.
While Ankney only managed an 8% conservation voting record, Dinstel believes that he would be a much better steward of Montana's natural resources and wildlife.
Dinstel wants to invest in renewable resources such as solar wind and bio-fuels to guide the next generation's energy policy. He also asserts that energy companies must be held accountable and reclaim the land after mining.
