Sen. Jim Elliott for HD13
Jim Elliott was born in Pennsylvania and holds a BA in Behavioral Psychology. Sen Elliott served as a Representative for HD 72 from 1989-1997, and as most recently as a State Senator from District 07 from 2000 until termed out last session.
He is the Green Mountain Conservation District Supervisor and the owner of 33 Ranch. Senator Elliott improved his MCV score with over his tenure, starting with a 60% score in 2001 to a score of 91% in the 2007. Sen Elliott has indicated that he would support increased use of alternative fuel technology, request added flexibility from the federal government in enforcing and funding federal environmental regulations, amend the Montana Constitution to prohibit the state from charging Montanans fees for recreational uses of public lands, and support the Montana Environmental Policy Act.
He will face incumbent Pat Ingraham (R) and Constitutionalist Renn Bodecker in this fall's election.
