Join Montana Conservation Voters for the best picnic of the year, as we make our endorsement announcement of Attorney General Candidate Steve Bullock.

Hear what Steve Bullock has to say about how he will protect Montana’s environment as Attorney General, meet legislative candidates endorsed by MCV and join members and friends as we welcome summer and savor delicious food. 

Please bring family, friends and a dish to share.
Beer and soft drinks will be provided.
In order to cut down on waste, remember to bring your own reusable dishes, cup and utensils.
(MCV Beer Glasses will be on sale at the keg.)
Bring a lawn chair and carpooling is encouraged.
A short business meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m.

DIRECTIONS TO PICNIC:
From Interstate 90, take the 19th Ave. exit north.  Head north on Springhill Road, for 11 miles from the Exxon gas station, located at the North 19th Ave. /Frontage Rd. Exit.  Thirteen Mile Lamb and Wool Co. is located on the right-hand side of road. A sign will be posted. If you hit the end of the pavement, you’ve gone one mile too far.

To help fund MCV's electoral work, the evening will include a live auction featuring services provided by MCV members and friends.  A few of the items to be auctioned include:

  • Long-time naturalist guide, Gail Richardson is offering a guided group day hike.  VALUE:  $250
  • Norm Bishop, cross country skier extraordinaire, and recently certified PSIA instructor is offering a two hour private cross country ski lesson, either classic or skating.  Lesson is for one or two people.  VALUE:  $130
  • Ross Rodgers, former professional fishing instructor and guide is offering a full day of guided trout fishing this summer for up to three people.  All experiences are welcome. If desired, the day can also include fly-tying and fly casting instruction.  The winning bidders will also learn about trout diets, aquatic insects, fish-finding tactics, wild flowers and stream ecology. Value:  $400
  • Norm Bishop, long time wolf educator, will accompany up to four people on an early morning visit to the Lamar Valley to observe wolves.  VALUE:  $300
  • David Mann, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Bozeman is offering a day of birding for a group.

Dates and times for all trips are to be arranged between the guide and winning bidders.  Free Will donations are encouraged.
