Bio
Ernie Niemi has been a vice president and senior policy analyst at ECONorthwest since 1978. He specializes in applying the principles of cost-benefit analysis, economic valuation, and economic-impact analysis in the context of natural-resource management, economic development, and public-policy decisions. He has presented analytical findings to congressional, judicial, arbitrative, administrative, and scientific/professional bodies. Mr. Niemi recently completed reports on the costs of climate inaction for the states of Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico.
