13th Annual Meeting and Celebration and Election Year Kickoff –
Learn, Advocate, Celebrate
For 13 years, Montana Conservation Voters has been fighting for clean water and wild country. 2012 is a monumental election year in Montana, including what is arguably the nation’s most pivotal U.S. Senate race. Conservationists are invited to gather and learn how to help protect Montana’s outdoor legacy in the context of this year’s election. Friday evening’s celebration is headlined by Sen. Jon Tester. MCV will also announce several important statewide endorsements, and award two notable Montanans for their remarkable work to protect Montana’s cold, clean rivers and open spaces.
Friday, March 9th:
1:30 – 4:35pm - MCVEF Panels, (Free and Open to the Public), Lewis and Clark Library, Large Meeting Room, 120 S Last Chance Gulch
1:30 – 3:00pm “Safer Chemicals – Protecting your Family from Toxic Household Chemicals”
3:15 – 4:45pm “Corporate Money in Elections: The Montana Story,” featuring Attorney General Steve Bullock
5:30 – 8:30pm - Celebration and Fundraiser, the Montana Club, 24 W 6th Ave, featuring Sen. Jon Tester
Saturday, March 10th:
9:30 – 11:30am – Membership Meeting, UM Helena, 1115 N Roberts Ave.
Who: The panels are free and open to the public. Friday evening’s program costs $25, and includes food and drink. The celebration features a silent auction. Saturday’s membership meeting is for MCV members only.
