More about the picnic and ballot watch forum:  Please attend a summer picnic and potluck celebrating eastern Montana’s rich conservation culture and history. The event features a Conservation Ballot Watch Forum exploring how two ballot measures will affect clean water and wild country. Experts will discuss I-166, which would ban corporate campaign $ in elections, and LR-123, which would provide a tax “kickback” under certain circumstances, most of which would benefit millionaires.  Opponents to LR- 123 believe it would cripple the agencies that manage habitat and water resources and public health and safety.

Burgers and drinks (beer and non-alcoholic) provided. Please bring a dish to share. (For those with last names A – L, please bring a salad or side dish. For those with last names M – Z, please bring dessert or chips and dip.)

Win great prizes!  Raffle tickets cost $5 each, or purchase six for $25.  Purchase enters folks to win one of many great prizes, including locally sourced and produced goods and services like a get-away to a cabin in the Beartooths, gift certificates, local art and more. Ticket-holders need not be present to win.  Purchase tickets at the door, or contact chapter board members to purchase ahead of the event,
