Montana Conservation Voters Staff

Sarah Cobler, Program Director

Sarah, originally from Kalispell, MT, joined the MCV team in May, 2005. She serves as MCV's program director and chief lobbyist in Helena, working with a diverse group of citizens and legislators to pass good environmental legislation. When the Legislature is not in Session, she organizes from the Western Montana office in Missoula, and directs MCV's political campaigns. She serves on the advisory board of the New Leaders Council Missoula.  Sarah enjoys long-distance running, back and front country snowboaring, climbing mountains, singing in a community choir, traveling, reading and parenting.  She lives with her husband Matt, son Henry, and two dogs.

 

Eric Halstvedt, Database Admin./Webmaster

Eric, born in Great Falls and raised in Billings, has been with MCV since 2004 and is responsible for MCV and MCVEF's websites, the MCVEF List Enhancement Project, data base management and coordinating direct mail communications.  Eric is also responsible for design and layout for MCV publications. He has a BS in Information Systems from MSU-B and a BA in International Business from MSU.

 

Theresa M. Keaveny, Executive Director

Theresa has been with Montana Conservation Voters since it started in 1999 and is responsible for program development, budget development and fundraising, and coordinates the Citizens Media and Message Program. She has been a community organizer and director of rural environmental organizations in the Dakotas and high plains since 1981. Keaveny also has extensive political experience, having worked on several legislative and statewide political campaigns and ballot measures pertaining to out-of-state waste, tax reform and sustainable agriculture. She is an active member of two local conservation groups and the local food co-op.

 

Ross Prosperi, Community Organizer

Ross works out of the Missoula office with MCV's Missoula and Flathead chapters. He also coordinates the Missoula Conservation Roundtable and MCV's grassroots activist calling program. He started as the Western Montana Canvass Director for the 2006 midterm elections when MCV helped elect Jon Tester to the U.S. Senate. He received his undergraduate degree in international business management with a minor in environmental studies and is certified in non-profit administration from the University of Montana. Ross has been a leader in political and non-profit work with Montana Public Interest Research Group and the Associated Students of the University of Montana.

 

Darci Hertz, Accountant 

Darci has served as MCVEF’s accountant for 7 years, and provides full service bookkeeping and accounting, including payroll, financial statements and compliance reporting.

 

Jeanne Marie Souvigney, Contractor

Jeanne Marie is one of MCV's founders and was the program director from 2001-2005. She is currently a contractor with MCV, and works with MCVEF as the Heat is On coordinator.
